I don’t exactly know how sweet potatoes and Thanksgiving got tied together, but it’s fine with me. I love the taste of sweet potatoes combined with all the traditional Thanksgiving goodies. Why not give G-d thanks this Thanksgiving for something raised right here in Oklahoma. Nanette has put up her sweet potato casserole recipe here on our blog at https://www.acadianfamilyfarm.com/category/recipes-sweet-potatoes/
Last year, Edible OKC published a story about our farm and our certified organic sweet potatoes with some nice pictures of us working in the fields: http://edibleoklahomacity.ediblecommunities.com/food-thought/support-your-local-everything We work hard to bring you certified organic sweet potatoes, and I take my responsibility to you very seriously. It’s more work and labor cost to raise them organically, but it’s the right thing to do. By the way, you don’t have to wait for Thanksgiving; you can be enjoying them now, and they are a healthy choice for most every diet.
